Franz Ferdinand have announced a new album and a UK and Ireland tour.

The Glasgow band will release ‘Always Ascending’ on February 9 through Domino, with a UK and Ireland tour set to kick off the following day in Galway and conclude at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 24.

Following this they will head to Europe for shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain and France.
