Tourist Trap is a French/Dutch duo composed of Luca de Laat and Thomas Lerousseau. The two friends met in the south of France at school when they were 10. It didn’t take long before they discovered they both had the same passion for electronic music.
Starting by mixing tunes on their laptops they later expanded to turntables and started playing at small parties in their hometown. Later on, while trying to combine this time consuming activity with their different study directions, they got to play bigger venues. Going from Monaco and Nice to the legendary Trouw in Amsterdam last summer. Throughout these years they meticulously refined their sound. Both loving the sound of the TR-909 and the groove of disco they finally settled with a blend of deep/jackin house. They aim at bringing together old and new sounds, approaching their musical choice with a very open mind. United by a strong and long friendship, it’s no surprise that these two have a great connexion behind the decks.
